Back in 2020 Avast/AVG was caught selling its user’s browsing data while at the same time claiming it was protecting their privacy.
Like they say … you get what you pay for and when you don’t pay anything for your security then these are the risks you take.
If you have Windows 10 or Windows 11 then I believe you are much better off using the security product you paid for (ie. Windows Defender) rather than installing a so-called “free” Anti-Virus product.
